PURPOSE
The purpose of this policy from TechRepublic Premium is to provide guidelines for the appropriate use of ethics involving AI.

This policy can be customized as needed to fit the needs of your organization.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE POLICY DETAILS
The business and employees responsible for administering AI must research and obey all local, state and federal laws related to its use in the organization. These stipulations should be incorporated into this policy.

AI software/mechanisms must be built and utilized with transparency, meaning the details used to create and operate them should be accessible to those responsible for them and any decisions made by the software should be easily identifiable and logged for human inspection.

AI must not be used to engage in harm or negative actions such as discrimination, stalking, racial profiling or harassment.

AI should not be used to disseminate false or misleading information. Information gathered from AI should not be used to negatively capitalize upon others. For instance, information indicating potential customers have addiction issues would be acceptable to use in advertising treatment options to them, but it would be unacceptable to attempt to market addictive products to these individuals.
